miss you, miss you

cats, hats and things | shopping in hot topic | mickey's philharmagic (childhood dreams came true in that theatre, tears were in my eyes) | cheerio's like in matilda | the queue for the festival of the lion king at animal kingdom | the best part of the best show in the whole of disney world (kind of hard to take good pictures of dancers when they're flying through the air) | disney's boardwalk | the seat area where we watched 'fantasmic!' at hollywood studios (more tears here, it was beautiful)

i miss you, orlando. maybe we'll see each other again sometime in the future?

if you're not a believer of magic then i suggest you go to disney world. when they say 'theme park magic' they are not lying. dreams really do come true there. i was never really drawn to it as a kid but now it's my favourite place in the whole world. words cannot begin to describe how much i miss it. sorry for the photo-heavy post, i was just looking back through my blog and realised i never really posted many pictures from america. thank you for reading! :-) xx

my favourite pictures from the usa

SO: as promised, there are some america-based videos coming up for you, and a lot of pictures and stuff. the first thing i was gonna do was film my usa haul (it's a lot of stuff so a post just wasn't gonna cut it) but i filmed it in 3 parts because my camera kept dying. the last 2 parts are fine but the first part was so out of sync that it made me dizzy to watch it. since filming that i've put all my stuff away so it may take me a little while to re-film the first bit of that video before i get that up for you guys. secondly, i've been too busy enjoying just watching the footage i took in the states and haven't really got around to editing it all together, so i'll try and get started on that soon.

for now, these are some of my favourite pictures that i took in orlando. i hope you like them as much as i do. :-)

(just as a heads up - this post is like super picture heavy, so, uh, sorry if that doesn't float your boat!)

see you guys soon! :-) xx

nails of the day - 01.03.12 - usa

since i have less than a month to go until i go to florida, i decided to test out my new nail art pens and recreate the usa flag! these were really easy to do, although they took a little while as i had to wait for the base to dry before i could do the stripes, and then the stripes had to dry before i could do the blue bits, etc.

i used 17 lasting fix nail polish in 'mini skirt' as a base. i also used my rimmel lycra prop matte finish mattifying topcoat as i still have yet to get a plain clear coat nail polish and i didn't want to chance any unwanted chipping.

i also used these nail art pens that i got for christmas. they're un-branded, they came from china and my mum ordered them from ebay. i think they were around £8 for a set of 24. obviously they're not the best polishes ever and you don't get to choose the colours, but they do me just fine for amateur nail art. they're so cheap that you can't really go wrong - you can get sets of 60 pens for £20! be warned though - these smell horrible! brand nail polishes usually use scents to disguise the chemical smell and these smell awful. i'd use them with a window open and not to near your face if i were you!

i store my nail art pens in this cute little plastic crate. it was 99p and from wilkinsons, and is the perfect size and height!

thanks for reading. :) xx
